What if you thought of it like insurance instead of investing?
Let's just say, hypothetically, that there was a way to make 2% a week. What would that look like in 10 years?
If we start with $500. 2% a week is $10. Every week, for 52 weeks, is $520. For a total of $1,020. 2X what we started with.
So, after year 1, we have $1,020. In year 2, our weekly 2% becomes $20. Every week, for 52 weeks, is $1,040. For a total of $2,060.
In year 3, our weekly 2% goes to $40, for 52 weeks, becomes $2,080. For a total of $4,140.
In year 4, our weekly 2% goes to $80, for 52 weeks, becomes $4,160. For a total of $8,300.
In year 5, our weekly 2% goes to $160, for 52 weeks, becomes $8,320. For a total of $16,620.
In year 6, our weekly 2% goes to $320, for 52 weeks, becomes $16,640. For a total of $33,260.
In year 7, our weekly 2% goes to $640, for 52 weeks, becomes $33,280. For a total of $66,540.
In year 8, our weekly 2% goes to $1,280, for 52 weeks, becomes $66,560. For a total of $133,100.
In year 9, our weekly 2% goes to $2,560, for 52 weeks, becomes $133,120. For a total of $266,220.
In year 10, our weekly 2% goes to $5,120, for 52 weeks, becomes $266,240. For a total of $532,460.
In 10 years, $500 becomes half a million dollars, by earning 2% each week "collecting insurance" from the stock market. Do you know what happens if you start with $1,000? It becomes $1,000,000. And so on.
So how do we "collect insurance" every week? We use a financial instrument by the name of an 'option contract' or an option for short. Options are not an easy thing to explain and there are plenty of great teaching videos out there already, but suffice it to say that we create this trade by using options as a way to collect a 'premium'. That's the idea.
Every week I place a trade that essentially collects premium if it doesn't get used. It is not a week long trade however, it takes a bit longer than that. But once they expire I get paid, and once they begin, they keep coming every week.
How does that sound? Would you be interested in a trading plan that acts like an insurance company?
